Signs, signs, everywhere political signs! D, GOP, I, Constitution, Reform or Communist – who knows what they are if it's not posted on their signs? The law requires this in any partisan race, such as sheriff, prosecutor, or county official. The exception is for non-partisan races, such as judicial, P.U.D. or hospital commissions, city council, or mayor.
Signs too close to the public road may even cause an accident – that's why the state has a law regulating where to post, and where not to. And it's only common courtesy to respect private property and ask permission before slapping a sign up on – or in front of – what could be someone else's property.
You'd think that people running for public office would research the rules before they start--after all, they are running for positions of public trust and promising to enforce the laws of their office.
